Elixir des Merveilles opens with orange, elemi resin, and lemon before an unconventional heart of amber, pepper, and violet. The base settles into fir, cedar, Madagascar vetiver, and oakmoss. Composed by Ralf Schwieger and Nathalie Feisthauer and launched by Hermès in 2004, it broke the traditional pyramid, placing woody and amber notes upfront in a way no women's fragrance had before — the original that launched the entire Merveilles constellation.
