Collection: Ralph Lauren
Ralph Lauren launched into fragrance in 1978, a decade after the Polo label began as a tie business out of a single drawer in the Empire State Building. Every scent in the portfolio carries the same idea that built the clothing side: an aspirational, distinctly American vision of style, borrowing heavily from British heritage but filtered through East Coast sportswear and old-money leisure. Safari, from 1990, is a good example — a fragrance built around the idea of open space and freedom of movement, the same spirit that runs through the rest of the Ralph Lauren world.
